Mission Statement
The Mission of the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles
County (POALAC) is to lead, train, facilitate, inspire, and
advocate on behalf of federal, state, county and local law
enforcement agencies and private sector security professionals
to maximize the safety of those who depend upon us.
    
The Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County (POALAC)
is a non-profit 501(c) foundation composed primarily of
law enforcement officers at the local, county, state, and
federal levels, working cooperatively with each other, the
private sector, and other government agencies to advance
the interests of public safety and professional law enforcement
in Los Angeles County. POALAC is managed by an Executive
Board, and the general POALAC membership is composed of
dues-paying members. Non-law enforcement persons are also
permitted to join as members of POALAC.
POALAC's committees are composed exclusively of members
who commit to volunteer their expertise and efforts to promulgate
the POALAC mission.
In addition to establishing powerful networking linkages
among its members and the community, POALAC presents professional
POST-approved seminars by renowned experts in their fields,
has monthly theme-driven general membership meetings, publishes
a magazine, hosts this Internet website (updated every 48
hours), and conducts many other regular and as-needed activities
to advance its mission.
POALAC is entirely funded by membership dues and tax-deductible
gifts from members of the business community and individuals
concerned for the improvement of public safety in Los Angeles
County. If you would like to become a POALAC member click

page. If you would like to donate a gift of any amount,
please contact POALAC, by e-mail, phone, or postal mail
at the address at the bottom border.
POALAC publishes a magazine which is automatically sent
to all members each quarter. Anyone who advertises in the
in the POALAC magazine not only presents their business
to a broad spectrum of law enforcement officers and community
partners, but makes a direct financial contribution to the
advancement of law enforcement in the county.
POALAC conducts seminars in a wide range of topics taught
by some of the finest experts in their fields.
Law enforcement and security employment advertisements
are welcome and are posted free to the POALAC website. Advertisements
by and for members is also posted on the Member Ads section.
POALAC's organization consists of a Board of Directors,
special committees, and dues-paying members.
POALAC also conducts various social and special events
open to members and visitors which are posted on our website
calendar.
All agencies are welcome to link their websites to ours.
Any agency who would like us to put a link to their website
on the POALAC site should submit the URL to the POALAC webmaster.
