Los Angeles Mission College, located in Sylmar, is one of the nine community colleges in the Los Angeles Community College district.  The Administration of Justice program offers an Associates degree in Administration of Justice and prepares students to transfer to nearby universities such as CSUN and Cal State L.A.  Several of our courses are transferable and articulated to Cal State L.A.’s criminal justice program and CSUN’s sociology program.  Credit is given for police academy training and officers can challenge several classes through Credit by Exam.  Some classes can also be substituted based on previous education or in-service training.  On-line courses are also being offered for officers that cannot attend traditional on campus courses.  Most courses are taught by retired or current peace officers from several different agencies.  Tuition costs are only $20 per unit.  For more information, contact the Vice Chair of the Administration of Justice program, Mr. Kelly Enos (retired LASD) at 818-364-7610 or visit our website at www.lamission.edu/aj .
